Chronic Neck Pain

 I am a 38 year old woman who has had severe chronic neck pain which can lead to debilitating headaches.  This started after a whiplash injury which I sustained in my early 20s.  I had tried everything from physical therapy to chiropractic care to acupuncture to epidural steroid injections with only temporary relief at best.

I came to Southwest Ohio Pain Management for injections and felt relief for the first time in years.  I no longer get the headaches.  My neck pain when present is tolerable.  My overall quality of life has improved dramatically.  I also want to say that the staff at Southwest Ohio Pain Management were very caring and helpful.  Thank you for helping me enjoy my life again.

Chronic Shoulder Pain

68 year old female with chronic pain and stiffness in her left shoulder which impaired her movement and use of that shoulder.  This patient underwent a ball replacement in this shoulder which did not improve any of her symptoms.  The patient had also done physical therapy which only seemed to aggravate her symptoms.  She was unable to do any type of exercise or stretching without severe pain in the shoulder.  She used over-the-counter medications which only took the edge off.  This patient had come to the conclusion that she would have to live with this pain and disability. 

 This patient came to our Southwest Ohio Pain Management as a last hope and here is what she had to say about her experience.

“Immediately upon receiving my first injection, Dr. Croake-Uleman asked me to gently move my arm around.  I tried and was shocked that I could feel no pain as I moved the shoulder through a full range of motion.  For the first time in years I had some relief.  I left the office and started my physical therapy exercises and noticed that I had greater mobility.  A week later I had a second injection and it continued to improve my condition.  My pain was cut in half and I had mobility.  I have had 4 injections now.  I get some aches at times but the inflammation and pain do not take over.  My massage therapist has also noticed a difference in the muscles since the second injection.  They are more pliable and flexible.”

FIBROMYALGIA, BENIGN HYPERMOBILITY SYNDROME AND SCOLIOSIS

I am a 30 year old female. Prior to getting injections at Southwest Ohio Pain Management I felt horrible.  My pain was always at least a 7-8 on a scale of 10.  It was difficult to work, walk or even enjoy life. 

Since the injections I would rate my pain at a 2-4 at the most.  My chronic neck pain has gone away completely.  My lower back pain has improved tremendously and most surprisingly my premenstrual cramping has disappeared due to the acupuncture part of my treatment. 

Dr. Croake-Uleman and the staff at Southwest Ohio Pain Management are the most caring, kind and patient professionals I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

FIBROMYALGIA

I am a 54 year old woman with fibromyalgia.  I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 8 years ago. Nothing I tried helped with my pain.   Before coming to Southwest Ohio Pain Management I was nearly bedridden due to the pain of my fibromyalgia.  I was in constant pain prior to these injections.

Since receiving these injections I am able to be active. My pain level has decreased significantly and I am able to have a good quality of life now.  My husband and I are back to hiking and enjoying life.  These injections are truly a lifesaver for me. 

LOWER BACK PAIN

28 year old male with low back pain for years from repeated athletic injuries.  He had tried chiropractic care, physical therapy and steroid epidural injections without relief.  He was unable to exercise and maintain the active lifestyle which he once enjoyed.

“The pain was horrible.  I was in pain doing just about anything and the pain never let up.  After coming to Southwest Ohio Pain Management for injections I feel much better.  I have been able to start exercising again without hitting “the pain barrier” which I would hit previously.   And I no longer have pain all of the time.  My quality of life has definitely improved due to my tre atments at Southwest Ohio Pain Management.”

MIGRAINE HEADACHES

I am a female in my forties.  I started getting incapacitating migraine headaches when I was 12 years old.  They put me on many different medications without relief.  Imitrex injections would help but the headaches always came back.  Nothing prevented my headaches until I received injections at Southwest Ohio Pain Management.  After only two injections I have experienced no migraine headaches in over 18 months.  Even the swift changes in the Ohio weather which used to set my headaches off no longer trigger my migraine headaches.  I no longer feel the need to carry around an imitrex injection like i did in the past.  I feel like a free woman now.
